SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota swimming and diving team members Taylor Buhr and Samantha Mersnick have been selected as the TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performers of the Week the league announced on Tuesday.
 
Buhr, a sophomore from Bettendorf, Iowa, had a hand in four victories during the Coyotes season-opening win over Minnesota State. The Summit League Women's Peak Swimmer of the Week won the 100 breast (1:06.06), 200 breast (2:23.42) and 200 IM (2:10.44) while also swimming a leg on a winning 200 medley relay unit.
 
Mersnick, a junior from St. Charles, Missouri, earns her first career Summit League Women's Peak Diver of the Week honor. She scored 226.65 points on the three-meter board and 230.35 on the one-meter board.
 
The Coyotes will travel to Minneapolis on Friday for the Minnesota Tri-Duals and face Summit League foe St. Thomas on Saturday.
