VERMILLION, S.D. -- The Coyote athletic department is hosting a "Coyotes and Canvas" event on December 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Dome Club leading up to the 2 p.m. South Dakota men's basketball game vs. Omaha in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
 
The event will consist of a two hour program, painting a Coyote paw on a canvas, led by Jodi Baumgartner of Black Pain N' Sip. Champagne, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be served throughout the event.
 
The cost per participant is $40, which includes a ticket to the subsequent men's basketball game, painting supplies, two drinks and snacks.
