VERMILLION, S.D. — Associate AD for Fan Engagement Jarren Duffy has announced the addition of Ryan Williams as the Director of Ticket Sales and Operations on Monday.
 
"Ryan brings experience and new ideas to the ticket office. I am excited to see the growth of that department under Ryan's leadership," said Duffy. "Revenue and attendance are vital to our growth as an athletic department and this role has a direct impact on those areas."
 
Williams arrives at South Dakota from Sonoma State as a Ticket Sales and Operations Specialist where he helped increase ticket sales through new season ticket and group ticket packages. He was responsible for building out all campus events in the ticketing software, while also training student workers in the box office software to sell single event tickets and ticket packages.
 
"I am thankful to the University of South Dakota for giving me the opportunity to oversee the ticketing department," said Williams. "USD has a fantastic culture, and I am excited to be a part of it. I look forward to continuing the growth of USD and providing fans with the best experience possible."
 
Williams spent a season with the Inland Empire 66ers, a Single-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, as the box office and ticket sales manager in 2022-23. From 2021-22, he was the manager of group sales for the Frederick Keys the High-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles.
 
Williams graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in sports management.
