The Game
South Dakota hosts Dickinson State for a game at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion, South Dakota.
A live stream of the game will be available through the Summit League Network, available on the Midco Sports Plus app. A radio broadcast from the Coyote Sports Network with Jerry Palleschi will also be available on KVHT 106.3.
The Coyotes
South Dakota (6-3) plays four of its next five games on its home floor. The Coyotes look to use the home court advantage to extend their three-game winning streak headed into league play. South Dakota was picked third in the Summit League preseason poll with a pair of players picked to the preseason all-Summit teams.
The Coyotes are led by reigning Summit League Peak Performer of the Week
Grace Larkins. She averaged 26.5 points, eight rebounds, 4.5 assists and three steals in a pair of wins over UNI and LMU. Larkins totaled the ninth-most points in NCAA Division I last week. Fifth-year junior
Alexi Hempe tallied a pair of double-figure games last week as well, including knocking down a big-time bucket at the end of regulation last Sunday versus LMU that propelled the Coyotes to the road win.
The Blue Hawks
Dickinson State (3-7) is in its fifth season with Eric Nelson at the helm. A native of Laurel, Nebraska, Nelson travels back closer to home this weekend. He played collegiately at Morningside in Sioux City.
The duo of Kayden Steele (13.8) and Katherine Fox (12.8) lead the Blue Hawks in scoring this season. Fox leads the North Star Athletic Association in field-goal percentage (.530). Meanwhile, sophomore Kyrie Alldredge comes off the bench to lead the Blue Hawks and the North Star in 3-point percentage (.571).
