The Coyotes
South Dakota forced 20 turnovers and came up with a season-high 15 steals in Thursday's win. Grace Larkins and Walker Demers scored 14 and 11 points, respectively, and both game within a rebound of a double-double. Larkins had a career-high six steals and also had four assists.

Larkins had 17 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and four steals in a 59-50 win at Denver back on Jan. 23. Carley Duffney added 17 points. South Dakota outrebounded Denver 39-27 and didn't allow a second-chance point.

The Pioneers
Denver had won four of its last five before running into South Dakota State Thursday. All four of those wins came by at least nine points. The Pioneers put up 27 three-point shots a game on average and typically make 8-9. They made 9-of-27 against USD in round one, but were 3-of-25 in Brookings Thursday.

Emma Smith is a true freshman and Denver's leading scorer at close to 13 points per game. The Pioneers have a Summit Defensive Player of the Year candidate in Makayla Minett who has blocked 66 shots this season – seventh-most nationally – and is the second-leading rebounder in the conference.
