VERMILLION, S.D.—Expected rain in Conway, South Carolina, has altered the opening week of play for South Dakota softball. The Coyotes will take on Drake and UNI in Cedar Falls, Iowa, Sunday instead of traveling to Coastal Carolina.
 
The games are an extension of UNI's Doc Halverson UNI-Dome Classic, which South Dakota last competed in back in 2020. The Coyotes will face Drake at 2 p.m. and UNI at 4:30 p.m.
 
South Dakota split a doubleheader at Drake last season in Des Moines, Iowa. USD and UNI are meeting for the first time since the 2020 event.
