06.03.2026

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Three South Dakota softball student-athletes have been named to the 2026 Summit League All-Academic Team, as voted on by the league's Faculty Athletic Representatives (FARs) and sports information directors, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Omaha, South Dakota, and South Dakota State led the league with three honorees to the 16-person Academic All-League team.

Junior Autumn Iversen is picking up her second career Academic All-League honor (2025-26). Iversen is a sport management major at USD and was also named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honoree for her play on the diamond and work in the classroom this season.

She was named a Second Team All-Conference performer and hit a home run off of Nebraska's freshman star Alexis Jensen in the Lincoln Regional. She hit .500 with a double and a home run at the regional, while reaching base at a .700 clip thanks to the three hits and four walks drawn.

Abi Brown (Jr.) also joins Iversen as a two-time Summit League Academic All-League honor (2025-26) as a fellow sport management major at USD.

The Bennington, Nebraska native hit .244 this season and was the primary catcher for Evans this season. She hit three home runs and drove in 20 RBI on the campaign.

In her first year eligible for the Academic All-League team, Madison Evans (So.) picked up her first career honor as an accounting major. Joining Iversen, Evans was also a CSC Academic All-District honoree in 2026.

The 2026 Summit League Tournament MVP, Evans was named an Honorable Mention All-Conference pitcher and lead the Coyotes to the program's first-ever conference title and NCAA Tournament appearance in the circle. She picked up the win in the circle against a top-30 RPI Louisville squad for the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament victory.
