VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota offensive tackle Alex Jensen signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Miami Dolphins upon conclusion of the NFL Draft.
 
Miami has reportedly agreed to terms with 18 undrafted free agents, putting the team at the 90-player roster limit. The Dolphins had four selections in last week's draft, the same number they made in 2022. Cornerback Kader Kohou began as an undrafted free agent last spring and started 13 games for Miami last season.
 
"I am beyond thankful for this opportunity to become an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins organization," said Jensen. "The support at South Dakota has helped me tremendously get to this position. Being a Coyote means so much, and I am so appreciative of everyone who has invested into the program over the years to help make opportunities like this possible."
 
South Dakota alum Jack Cochrane signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs last May. He began the season on Kansas City's practice squad and was signed to the Chiefs' active roster in September. Cochrane competed in and won the Super Bowl with the Chiefs back in February.
 
Jensen is a two-time all-MVFC performer who started 38 games for the Coyotes over the past four seasons. He began his career as a tight end before converting to tackle ahead of the 2019 season. Jensen was named a team captain prior to the 2022 campaign.
 
So far two other South Dakota players have been invited to rookie minicamps. Kicker Eddie Ogamba has received an offer from the Baltimore Ravens. All-American long snapper Dalton Godfrey has been invited to the Philadelphia Eagles' rookie minicamp this weekend and will be attending the Oakland Raiders' rookie minicamp next weekend.
