SIOUX FALLS, S.D.—South Dakota sophomore Emma Henningsson is one of eight Summit League Golfers to Watch this spring as voted on by the league's head coaches and announced Wednesday.
 
Henningsson is one of three Coyote golfers who turned in a stroke average of 75 in five events this fall joining teammates Catie Nekola and Ella Greenberg. Henningsson posted a career-best finish at Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational in the fall, placing in a tie for fifth after closing with a career-low 69 (-3) in round three. She competed in all 11 events last year as a freshman, recording a stroke average of 77.5 with one top-10 finish.
 
Henningsson and Nekola helped South Dakota to a runner-up finish at last year's Summit League Tournament. This year's championship meet runs April 21-23 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Rio Verde Invite Feb. 23-25 in Arizona is the first of four spring events that precedes this year's championship.
