South Dakota’s road trip continues at Kansas City

The Game
The Coyotes travel to Kansas City to take on the Roos on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside Swinney Center.
 
The game will be streamed on the Summit League Network available via the Midco Sports Plus app. Fans can also tune into the game on the Coyote Sports Network with John Thayer on KVHT 106.3 FM in Yankton/Vermillion, KQSF 95.7 in Sioux Falls, or by using the Varsity Network app.
 
The Coyotes

South Dakota (9-12, 2-4 Summit) is coming off a tough 111-110 double overtime loss at Denver on Thursday.
 
Junior transfer Kaleb Stewart, the Coyotes' leading scorer, dropped a career-high 44 points on 16-of-31 shooting from the field and 8-of-13 shooting from three. It's the most points scored in a game by a Coyote since 1967 and the fourth-most points scored in a game in program history. Stewart was one of five Coyotes to score in double-figures. Redshirt freshman Jevon Hill made his first career start and had 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 shooting from three.
 
Lahat Thioune is the 12th-leading rebounder in the nation and his nine double-doubles rank 15th nationally. He has three more double-double performances than any other Summit player. The 6-10 forward is averaging a double-double with 13.3 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game.
 
The Roos  
Kansas City (8-13, 2-4 Summit) is coming off a 75-66 loss to South Dakota State in Brookings on Thursday.
 
Junior transfer Jamar Brown, the Roos' leading scorer and rebounder, had 17 points and four three-pointers in the loss to SDSU on Thursday. As a squad, Kansas City knocked down nine threes on 52.9 percent shooting in the second half.
 
Cameron Faas leads the Summit in three-pointers per game (2.67), three-point percentage (43.1), and total three-point field goals made (56). Kansas City leads the league in turnovers forced per game with 12.05.

The Series
Saturday's matchup marks the 17th meeting between South Dakota and Kansas City. The Coyotes and Roos each have eight wins, whoever wins on Saturday will gain the series advantage.
