ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Redshirt junior Clayton Denker was named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) All-Academic Second Team, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.  
 
Denker has seen game action in seven of the Coyotes 12 games this season heading into the FCS Quarterfinals on Saturday. He played the final four games of the regular season, playing a key role on different special teams units.
 
The Bellwood, Nebraska native holds a 4.0 GPA as a Kinesiology and Sport Management major at South Dakota.
 
South Dakota enters the Quarterfinals with an 10-2 (7-1 MVFC) record and earned a share of the 2024 MVFC title.
