Erin Kinney have been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Peak Performers of the Week by the league office. Faurot garners the men's field recognition and Kinney receives the women's track honors.
Faurot, hailing from Scott City, Kansas, picks up his third weekly accolade of the season and fifth career honor. Faurot cleared an indoor-best height of 17-11 (5.46m) on Friday at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational. The height ties him for 14th nationally and leads the Summit League. He ranks fourth in USD program history with the clearance.
Kinney, a native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, receives her second weekly honor this season and the 10th of her career. Kinney won the women's 60 meter title at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in 7.36 seconds, finishing ahead of athletes from the Big Ten's Nebraska, the Big 12's Baylor, the Pac 12's Utah and Washington, as well as post-collegiates. She owns the Summit-leading time of 7.33 seconds from two weeks ago.
The Coyotes will have a split squad between three meets on Friday and Saturday. South Dakota will send athletes to Arkansas' Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Washington's Husky Classic in Seattle, Washington, and South Dakota State's Classic in Brookings, South Dakota.
