Coyotes host North Dakota for Senior Day

The Game

South Dakota women's basketball hosts North Dakota in its regular season finale Saturday at 2 p.m. inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion, South Dakota. The Coyotes will recognize four seniors – Nicole Avila-Ambrosi, Tori DePerry, Madison Grange and Morgan Hansen – prior to tip-off.

The game will be live streamed on the Summit League Network available via the Midco Sports Plus app. Fans can also tune into the game on the Coyote Sports Network with Jerry Palleschi on KVTK 101.5 in Yankton/Vermillion or by using the Varsity Network app.

The Coyotes

South Dakota (19-11, 8-7) takes the floor for its third-straight senior game, but this time its their own. This year's senior class includes four-year Coyote Morgan Hansen, Cal Baptist transfer Nicole Avila-Ambrosi, Utah Valley graduate transfer Madison Grange and Saginaw Valley State graduate transfer Tori DePerry.

A win on Saturday will give South Dakota its eighth 20-win season in the last 10 years. USD leading scorer Grace Larkins had 22 points Thursday night at North Dakota State. Sophomore Carley Duffney continues to shine in February, returning to the starting lineup and reaching double-figure scoring in six of the last seven games. She had 14 points Thursday.

The Fighting Hawks

North Dakota (9-19, 5-10) ends the regular season facing the top-four seeds in the Summit League, including the last three on the road.

Saturday is the final regular season game of preseason Summit League Player of the Year Kacie Borowicz's career. She's averaged nearly 20 points per game over the last three seasons in leading the Fighting Hawks. She's the Summit's leading scorer this season. Borowicz erupted for a career high 40 points at North Dakota State last weekend and now sits 17 points shy of 2,000 in her career.

The Series

North Dakota leads the all-time series 50-37, albeit the Coyotes lead 21-18 in Vermillion. South Dakota was victorious in the first meeting this season, winning 69-53 on February 1 in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Up Next
