VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota head volleyball coach
Leanne Williamson is pleased to announce the addition of Cora Hokenstad to the roster for the 2024 fall campaign.
Â
Hokenstad, a native of Sioux Falls, S.D., was a two-time all-conference first-team selection at Jefferson High School. The 5-foot-7 defensive specialist/libero set four school records in her time at Jefferson, including career digs (1,567), single-season digs (548), single-match digs (38), and single-match aces (6). She also played libero for her club team at the Sanford Sports Academy. Hokenstad was a National Honor Society member, a three-time scholar athlete, and an honor roll member.
Â
"I am so excited that Cora will be joining the Coyote family," said Williamson. "Cora is a quick twitch defender who can cover a lot of ground with her speed. I know that she will fit in well with our group of defenders and add depth to an already great group. In addition, I am confident that she will fit in with our culture and be a great teammate."
Â
The daughter of Janice and Harold Hokenstad plans to major in biology at South Dakota.
