South Dakota (19-25, 4-7) lost two of three games in a home series with Omaha and is just a half game behind St. Thomas for third in the league standings.Â

SOUTH DAKOTA NOTES
South Dakota's pitching staff, which ranks second in Summit League during league play with a 2.22 earned run average, has allowed two or fewer earned runs in eight of its 11 league games.
McKenna Young pitched 4.2 innings of shutout relief as South Dakota won game three against Omaha, 5-1 and the freshman has a 1.79 earned run average during league play.
Clara Edwards continues to be the workhorse in the circle for the Coyotes as her 23 starts are the most in the Summit League. Clara's 2.24 overall ERA ranks third in the Summit League while the junior has allowed just three earned runs in her last six starts.Â
Tatum Villotta carries a nine-game hitting streak into play on Saturday and leads the offensive attack for South Dakota with a .296 average and team highs of 47 hits and 19 runs.
Gabby Moser is hitting .289 and her team high 33 RBIs rank fourth best in Summit League.
ST. THOMAS NOTES
Ella Cook is hitting .295 while her eight home runs and 35 RBIs are among the leaders in the Summit League. Cook is a double threat as she has made 16 starts in the pitchers circle and has a 7-9 record and 1.89 WHIP (5.39 era) over 101 innings of work.Â
Christina Crawford has made 17 starts and carries a 4-15 record and 1.73 WHIP (5.28 ERA) into the weekend series.
Kaitlyn Raymond tops the Tommies with a .309 average while Avery Wukawitz is hitting .293 and Laken Lienhard is at .278 but leads the Summit League with 27 walks drawn.Â
