GRAND FORKS, N.D. – South Dakota (18-22, 3-5 Summit) fell to North Dakota (7-34, 1-5 Summit) in the final game of the three-game series in Grand Forks.

The Coyotes took a 1-0 lead early in the top of the third inning when
Gabby Moser hit a single and brought in
Tatum Villotta.

The Fighting Hawks responded soon after in the fourth inning when Annabeth Carlberg singled up the middle to bring in Taya Hopfauf and tie it up at 1-1.

A wild pitch from the Yotes brought in Brooklyn Morris to give North Dakota the 2-1 win in the bottom of the seventh inning.

South Dakota travels to Creighton for a midweek matchup on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Omaha.
