SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — South Dakota seniors Alivia Conte and Kori Wedeking represent the Coyotes on the 2024 Softball Academic All-Summit League Team announced Wednesday by the league office.
 
Conte, an infielder from Maineville, Ohio, led the Coyotes with a .307 average while making 39 starts and appearing in 48 games. She finished second on the team with 20 runs scored and only struck out seven times in 107 plate appearances.
 
Wedeking, a pitcher from Clarksville, Iowa, made 16 starts and appeared in 25 contests tossing 99.2 innings of work with a 3.72 earned run average. She struck out 78 batters and limited opponents to a .252 average against.
 
South Dakota has featured at least one academic team honoree every year for the past seven seasons. It is the fifth time the Coyotes have had at least two honorees.
