Eerik Haamer tied for eighth place in the men's pole vault at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Wednesday evening at Hayward Field. The duo both garner first team All-America recognition with the honor.
The pair both had clean sheets through the opening three bars before exiting the pole vault competition at 18-1 ¼ (5.52m). Both finished with a final height of 17-7 ¼ (5.37m) in the competition. Kentucky's Keaton Daniel went on to win the competition with a height of 18-7 ¼ (5.67m).
Faurot, a native of Scott City, Kansas, wraps up his collegiate career with back-to-back first team All-America performances in 2024. He also placed eighth at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March. Faurot was the indoor and outdoor Summit League champion. He also garnered Summit League Field Athlete of the Year and Most Outstanding Performer nods during the 2024 indoor season.
Haamer, who hails from Tartu, Estonia, collects his fourth career All-America accolade. His top finish of fourth place came at the 2021 indoor national meet.
This marks the first time the Coyotes have boasted two first-team All-Americans in the men's pole vault at the outdoor national meet. The Coyotes previously accomplished the feat at the 2021 indoor meet.

Jacy Pulse races in the semifinal of the 400-meter hurdles at 9:30 p.m. (Central) inside Hayward Field.
