VERMILLION, S.D.— The South Dakota volleyball program earned the AVCA Team Academic Award and the distinction of Team Academic Honor Roll for being in the top 20% of GPAs in Division I, announced by the AVCA Wednesday.
The Team Academic Award honors collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintain a year-long GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or a 4.1 GPA on a 5.0 scale.

Leanne Williamson said. "This program has been very consistent with their academics, and this year is no different. I am proud of the people they are who push themselves to be their best selves in every area of their life!"
The Coyotes earned the award for a 10
th consecutive year and the 11
th time overall. The team's GPA of 3.71 for the 2023-24 academic year landed them inside the top 20% of NCAA Division I programs, giving them the Team Academic Honor Roll distinction.
