PREVIEW: Coyotes, Golden Eagles set for Saturday afternoon showdown

TULSA, Okla. — Coming off a road win at Denver Thursday night, South Dakota women's basketball makes the trip down to Tulsa to face off with Oral Roberts Saturday afternoon inside in the Mabee Center.
 
HOW TO FOLLOW ALONG
The Coyotes and Golden Eagles are scheduled for a 2 p.m. tip-off inside the Mabee Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The game is available to watch on the Summit League Network powered by Midco Sports Plus. Fans can also tune-in on KVHT 106.3 FM or on the Varsity Network App to listen to the voice of South Dakota women's basketball, Jerry Palleschi, live from Tulsa.
 
ABOUT THE COYOTES
• The Coyotes conclude the first week of Summit League play on the road, facing the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles.
• So far this season, Grace Larkins leads South Dakota and the Summit League in points (22.5), rebounds (8.8), assists (5.7), and minutes (36.6) per game.
• Four of the five Coyote starters have started in all 15 games this season. Five Coyotes have made starts as the fifth starter.
 
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
• The Coyotes and Golden Eagles enter Saturday's game coming off close games Thursday on the opening night of conference play.
• The Golden Eagles fell at home to South Dakota State Thursday night, 81-76.
• Five Oral Roberts players average double figures this season: Jalei Oglesby (16.2 ppg), Taleyah Jones (16.0), Ruthie Udoumoh (13.1), Makyra Tramble (11.4), and Emily Robinson (10.6).
• Oral Roberts concludes a four-game homestand Saturday. The Golden Eagles are currently 2-1 on the homestand and are 7-1 in the Mabee Center this season.
 
LAST TIME OUT
• South Dakota picked up a win in their first conference game, defeating the Pioneers 77-71 in Denver Thursday.
• Alexi Hempe set career-bests in points (26) and made three-pointers (8) in the win. She came one three shy of tying the school record for makes in a game.
• Grace Larkins recorded her 20th career double-double with 29 points and 13 rebounds. She added seven assists.
 
INSIDE THE ORAL ROBERTS SERIES
• The Coyotes and Golden Eagles meet for the 28th time in series history.
• Last season, Oral Roberts earned a sweep of South Dakota, winning by 13 in Vermillion and 14 in Tulsa.
• All-time, the Coyotes are 21-6 against Oral Roberts, including winning 19 in a row from 2/13/2016 to 2/23/2023.
• Last season, the lone Coyote to score in double figures at Oral Roberts was Kendall Holmes, who scored 17. Larkins had nine points and nine boards.
 
SUMMIT LEAGUE SUCCESS
• The Coyotes have nine total Summit League titles, five regular season and four tournament titles.
• The Coyotes are 184-59 against Summit League (previously Mid-Continent) opponents all-time.
• The Coyotes have a winning record against 13 of the 14 opponents.
• The Coyotes have more wins against Omaha (23) than any other Summit League opponent.
• The Coyotes haven't had a losing record in conference play since joining the Summit League during the 2011-12 season.
