South Dakota to host exhibition against Northern Arizona on Oct. 26

10.10.2025

VERMILLION, S.D. – For the first time in the Division I era, the South Dakota men's basketball team will host an exhibition in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center on Sunday, October 26 against Northern Arizona at 1 p.m.

Coyote fans can get a preseason glimpse of this year's squad as the exhibition will be open to the public and seating will be general admission. Tickets are $10 for all fans with proceeds going directly back into the men's basketball program. This exhibition is not included in the basketball season ticket package.

"Yote Fans! We look forward to having our Hall of Fame and Alumni weekend finish with an Exhibition Game on Sunday, October 26th," said head coach Eric Peterson. "Join us as we take on Northern Arizona in our first ever D1 Exhibition game at the SCSC. All proceeds will go directly back into our program to help retain current players and recruit for future years. We are in a new era of college athletics and every donation big or small will make a major impact as we look ahead."

The Coyotes were picked fifth in the Summit League Preseason Poll and the conference's leading returning scorer, Isaac Bruns, was named to the All-Summit League Preseason First Team. South Dakota finished the 2024-25 campaign with a 19-14 record and 9-7 Summit League mark and return two starters from last year's squad in Bruns and Cameron Fens.

South Dakota and NAU met on the hardwood last season with Northern Arizona taking a 95-82 win in Flagstaff, Arizona. Bruns posted team highs with 22 points and seven rebounds in 25 minutes of action.

Season tickets are on sale now for the 2025-26 season. Visit goyotes.com/tickets for more information. Single game tickets will be available soon.
