Second Annual Education Day Basketball Game Set for Nov. 7 vs. Air Force

10.10.2025

VERMILLION, S.D. – The Coyote women's basketball team is excited to host the second annual "Education Day Game" as the team takes on Air Force on Friday, November 7 at 11 a.m. in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

The event will welcome over 1,000 elementary and middle school students from the Vermillion area to the Sanford Coyote Sports Center at no cost. The students will be seated in sections 104-108. All ticket holders in those sections will be free to sit in any of the remaining sections.

"We are extremely excited to welcome elementary students from local and surrounding areas into the SCSC this upcoming season!" head women's basketball coach Carrie Eighmey said. "It's such a positive experience for everyone involved. The energy and enthusiasm our young Yote fans bring is incredible. It's also a great opportunity for our student-athletes to serve as role models and inspiration to young people in our community!"

Media timeouts will be tailored to provide a fun educational twist, showcasing various departments around campus. Highlights from the 2024 Education Day Game included a chemistry experiment, business trivia and a scrubs dressing contest, among other activities.

Any schools that are interested in attending, please contact Jarren Duffy at jarren.duffy@usd.edu.

Tickets are available for the general public at GoYotes.com/Tickets or by calling 605-677-5959.
