VERMILLION, S.D. – The South Dakota women's basketball program hung around with Oral Roberts throughout the first half, but a 30-point third quarter for the visiting team resulted in an 88-62 loss for South Dakota Thursday night in Vermillion.

Carley Duffney scored a career-high 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting.
Grace Larkins added 13 points and 11 rebounds for her 12
th double-double of the season and 26
th of her career.
Cassidy Carson had a career-high four blocks to go with eight points.

South Dakota stuck around in the first half, trailing by six-points after a quarter and trailed by 10 after the first half of play. Oral Roberts hit a jump shot as the half came to a close, and opened the third quarter on a 14-3 run, including a 10-0 run, to double the lead.

By the end of the third quarter, the Golden Eagles had a 30-point advantage. South Dakota won the fourth quarter 18-14, but the third quarter advantage gave Oral Roberts the victory.

The 30 points in a quarter is the second most given up by the Coyotes this season. The Coyotes also gave up 18 turnovers, above their conference leading 11.5 turnovers per game. South Dakota went 9-for-31 from beyond the arc and 22-for-54 from the field for the game.

The Coyotes have a short turnaround as they head to North Dakota State Saturday afternoon in Fargo.
