Coyotes wrap up trip to Texas Saturday

CLYDE LITTLEFIELD TEXAS RELAYS
AUSTIN, Texas – Four Coyotes took to the Texas Relays Saturday, including a pair of podium finishes in women's field events.
 
Lydia Knapp earned her second bronze finish of the week Saturday morning in the discus B section. Knapp recorded a 172-2 (52.48m) throw on her final attempt to place third.
 
In the women's pole vault university elite division, Marleen Mülla placed third with a clearance of 14-8 (4.47m). Anna Willis also competed Saturday, clearing 14-4 (4.37m) to place eighth. Her performance, the first of her outdoor Coyote career, moves her into sixth on the Coyote Outdoor Top 10 list.
 
Wrapping up the Coyotes' time at the Texas Relays, Landon Olson recorded a high jump performance of 6-9 (2.06m) to place eighth in the A section.
 
BOBCAT INVITATIONAL
SAN MARCOS, Texas – Delaney Smith was the lone Coyote to compete at the Bobcat Invitational's final day Saturday.
 
In the hammer throw's A section, Smith had an opening round throw of 178-1 (54.28m) to place 12th. It was Smith's third competition of the weekend after taking third in her section of the discus and shot put earlier this week.
 
The Coyotes return to the Midwest and host the USD Early Bird Friday and Saturday at the Lillibridge Track Complex in Vermillion.
