SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – After recording a new personal best that ranks him inside the top 20 in the NCAA this spring, Tre Young has earned the Kwik Star Summit League Men's Outdoor Field Performer of the Week honor, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
Young, a senior from Toledo, Ohio, won his division of the Mt. SAC Relays with a personal best of 17-9 (5.41m) over the weekend. That height ranks fifth in USD history outdoor, and is the top mark in the Summit League this spring. He ranks 17^th in the NCAA this season and 10^th in the West Region.
 
This is Young's second Peak Performer honor of his career and first this season. He is a three-time all-Summit League honoree in his career, including earning the honor this winter for the indoor season.
