VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota head women's soccer coach Michael Thomas is pleased to announce the signing of Lucy McCabe, a transfer from Nebraska.
 
McCabe, a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, joins USD following a season with the Huskers. McCabe previously spent her freshman season at Maryville University, where she recorded an assist and and a shot in six matches. Maryville won a conference championships and a third-place ranking in the Midwest region.
 
The Lincoln Pius X Graduate was an all-conference athlete during her prep career. She also earned honorable mention all-state honors and was twice academic all-conference. Her club career included time at Sporting Nebraska, helping the team to a state championships in 2023.
 
McCabe intends to major in Biology at South Dakota.
