VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota men's basketball head coach Eric Peterson has announced the Coyotes' 2025-26 nonconference schedule that features nine contests inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
 
The Coyotes open the season with four of their first five games inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center starting on November 3 against Utah Tech. South Dakota heads to Omaha for a matchup with the Big East's Creighton on November 5 before returning to the SCSC for three straight against Ozark Christian College, Southern Indiana and Western Michigan.
 
USD faces another Power 4 opponent on the road on November 20 when they face Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. The Yotes are back at the SCSC on November 23 against South Carolina State, before heading to Rapid City, South Dakota for a neutral site matchup with Air Force.
 
The Yotes matchup with Portland State at home on December 3 and are on the road on December 6 at Northern Colorado for the Big Sky – Summit Challenge.
 
South Dakota's last two road nonconference matchups see them traveling to Laramie, Wyoming to face Wyoming on December 9 and to Manhattan, Kansas where they'll take on Kansas State.
 
The Coyotes close out the calendar year with three of four games at home with Prairie View A&M (December 13), Dakota State (December 17) and Mount Marty (December 28).
