Sioux Falls, S.D. — Nick Rounds was named the Summit League's Peak Performer of the week for Swim & Dive following the Coyote Invite in Vermillion, S.D. this past weekend. He compiled three wins, two personal bests, and a USD Natatorium Pool record.
Rounds' first individual win came in the 200 free where he swam a personal best 1:38.93, setting a new pool record and moving to top five times in the Summit League. The second came in the 200 back where he swam a 1:50.24.
Another win came when
Joaquin Contreras-Fallico,
Ethan LaBounty, and
Dylan Alt joined Rounds to win the 200 medley relay in 1:30.40 with Rounds swimming a 50 free split of 19.63.
He also earned second in the 200 free relay with
David Mayer,
Matthew Sorbe, and
James Schreiber in 1:21.70 and third in the 400 free relay with
Brock Russell,
Jordan Hogue, and Mayer in 3:04.59. Rounds also swam a personal best in the 500 free at 4:55.54.
This is Rounds' fifth Peak Performer of the Week award this season after also winning on November 4, November 25, January 6, and January 27. He also claimed two awards last season bringing his career total to seven.
The Yotes will next compete at the Summit League Championships February 18-21 in Iowa City, Iowa.
