Sioux Falls, S.D. — Following South Dakota's weekend series against St. Thomas, junior infielder
Brooke Carey was named the Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week by the Summit League.
Carey is the second Yote to earn the honor this season after
Abi Brown was named Player of the week on March 10.
Carey helped the Yotes to a 1-2 record while competing in St. Paul with a .429 average in three games played. She had a home run and two runs scored. She had two of her hits and scored in the Coyotes' only win of the weekend.
Carey continues to lead the team in season average at .366 across all games in 2026 with the most hits (41), doubles (9), and total bases (56).
