Coyotes Fall on the Road to St. Thomas, 7-0

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — South Dakota closed out its weekend road swing on Sunday, falling 7-0 to St. Thomas in Summit League action.

The Tommies secured the early advantage by taking the doubles point, winning two of three matches. The Coyotes picked up a win at No. 2 doubles, where Selena Bird and Ava Doddridge delivered a dominant 6-0 victory, but St. Thomas answered with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 to claim the point.

In singles play, St. Thomas carried that momentum, sweeping all six courts to secure the shutout. Emilia Korseth set the tone at No. 1 singles with a straight-set win over Bird, while Caroline Lindahl, Anna Sidorenko, Ingrid Forsberg, and Alize Yarwood each added victories in straight sets.

At No. 4 singles, Keta Shavishvili was forced to retire, awarding the point to Lily Olson and sealing the 7-0 final margin.
