Ella Greenberg Named Second Team All-Summit League Golfer

04.24.2026

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Announced ahead of the 2026 Summit League Championships, junior Ella Greenberg has been named a Second Team All-Conference golfer by the Summit League, the league announced Friday morning.

Greenberg has been South Dakota's No. 1 golfer all season long and has paced the team. Her scoring average of 74.48 (25 rounds) leads the team by nearly two full strokes. She also leads the team in top-10 finishes (5) and top-5 finishes (5) on the season. The scoring average is also her lowest season scoring average to date, continuing to build upon her successful Coyote career.

"It has been amazing to watch Ella grow with her game and earn this honor. Her contributions to the team have allowed us to have a great season," commented head women's golf coach Brett Bennett. "The individual victory she had at the Ozarks National is a testament to the confidence she has in herself and the progress that her mental game has taken. She is a top golfer in the Summit League."

The Illinois native picked up her first collegiate medal with the +4 finish at the Ozarks National Invitational in late March (Mar. 23-25) with a tournament score of 220. The 220 score was her third lowest 54-hole tournament score of the season, hitting a 217 (+1) in the Redbird Invitational (Sept. 7-8) and a 219 (+3) at the Diane Thomason Invitational (Sept. 29-30).

Greenberg's career scoring average of 75.28 (67 rounds, 5,044 strokes) enters the 2026 Championships as the all-time program leader by nearly a full stroke. She's also top-10 in both career top-5 finishes (7; T2nd) and career top-10 finishes (9; T2nd) in program history.

The junior followed up her Honorable Mention All-League season in her sophomore season (2024-25) and marks her second conference honor of her career. The Second Team recognition is her first-career team placement.

The Yotes head into the Summit League Championships as the No. 5-seeded team and will tee-off beginning at 9 a.m. (CT) at 10-minute intervals up through 9:50 a.m. (CT) on Sunday, April 26 in Mesa.
