Elisha Warren set to join Coyotes for 2026-27 season

VERMILLION, S.D. — South Dakota men's basketball head coach Eric Peterson announced the addition of Elisha Warren to the 2026-27 roster. The Woodhaven, Michigan native transfers to USD from D'Youville University and has one year of eligibility remaining.

The 6'3 guard started in all 26 games this past season for the Saints and was named to the All-East Coast Conference Second Team after averaging 16.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He knocked down 53 3-pointers on the season at a 40.5% clip and shot 47.6% from the field. He poured in a career-high 30 points this past season in a double-double effort with 10 rebounds and finished the game 9-of-12 from the field with four triples. Warren tallied six double-doubles in 2025-26 and pulled down a career-best 14 rebounds with 18 points against Mercy (Dec. 21). He totaled 679 points in his two years at D'Youville in 51 games and had 284 rebounds.

Warren started his career at Western Michigan where he redshirted the 2022-23 season. He appeared in 30 games as a redshirt freshman at Ranger Community College and averaged 6.9 points and 5.2 rebounds.

Warren prepped at Woodhaven High School where he was a three-year captain and helped lead his team to four conference and two district championships. He was a three-time All-Conference, Downriver Dream Teams and All-State honoree, a two-time Metro Detroit All-West and BCAM First Team selection and was named the team's MVP twice.
