LEXINGTON, Ky. — For the 12^th straight year, the South Dakota volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award.
 
To be eligible for the AVCA Team Academic Award, teams must maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. The Coyotes posted a 3.73 GPA in the 2025-26 academic year to earn their 14^th overall Team Academic Award. The Coyotes were one of 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams nationwide to be recognized by the AVCA. 
 
In addition to the team award, South Dakota's success in the classroom saw three athletes named to the Summit League Volleyball Academic All-League Team in Avery Van Hook, Kamryn Farris and Amanda Loschen. Van Hook, Farris, Loschen and Morgan Bode were also recognized on the College Sports Communications Academic All-District Team.
