South Dakota Women’s Golf Announces 2026-27 Schedule

VERMILLION, S.D. — South Dakota women's golf schedule was announced by ninth-year head coach Brett Bennett on Tuesday. The Coyotes are slated for five tournaments in the fall and five more in the spring, headlined by the Summit League Championships in April.

The season tees off in Fargo, North Dakota Sept. 8-9 at the NDSU Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole event marks the fourth-consecutive season the Coyotes begin their fall season at Oxbow Country Club.

The Redbird Invitational hosted by Illinois State will take place Sept. 13-14 at Weibring Golf Course in Normal, Illinois. South Dakota took sixth place as a team last season in the 15-team event.

A trip to Columbia, Missouri for the Johnnie Imes Invitational hosted by Missouri on Sept. 21-22 precedes a trip to Davenport, Iowa for the Diane Thomason Invitational hosted by Iowa Sept. 28-29.

A second trip to the Show-Me State concludes the fall slate at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial in Springfield, Missouri Oct. 13-14.

The spring season begins with a trip to Rio Verde, Arizona for the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational hosted by Western Michigan on Feb. 19-21. South Dakota will make its sixth-consecutive appearance in the event.

South Dakota continues its journey out west two weeks later for the Babs Steffens Invitational at The Classic Club in Palm Desert, California. It will be South Dakota's first appearance in the three-day tournament hosted by Stetson Mar. 8-10.

The Coyotes return to the Midwest for its final regular season tournaments. First in Branson, Missouri for the Ozarks National Invitational hosted by Missouri State Mar. 22-24. Last season, South Dakota finished third out of a 13-team field. A trip to Omaha, Nebraska for the Stampede at the Creek concludes the regular season on April 12-13 at The Club at Indian Creek.

The Summit League Championship returns to Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona for the third-consecutive season April 25-27. South Dakota concluded last year's championship with a weekend low 284, with two finishing under par.
