VERMILLION, S.D. — Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions Kendra Rich is happy to announce the addition of Zach Zaharias to the Coyote team as the Assistant Director of Athletics Marketing.
 
"I'm excited to welcome Zach to our marketing team," said Rich. "His experience working with multiple sports organizations will bring a fresh perspective to our department, and I'm looking forward to seeing the new ideas and energy he adds to Coyote Athletics."
 
Zaharias comes to Vermillion after spending the last two seasons as a graduate assistant for marketing and fan engagement at Eastern Illinois University.
 
"I'm excited to be joining USD and eager to help create memorable experiences for Coyote fans," Zaharias said. "Go Yotes!"
 
The Crystal Lake, Ill. native took on a more advanced role at EIU following the departure of full-time staff members. During his time with the Panthers, Zaharias created game-day promotional scripts, managed and hired interns for the marketing athletics department, and ran the EIU student section's social media account to promote upcoming events.
 
Beyond his two years in Charleston, Zaharias graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in business. During this time, he spent time interning with professional organizations such as the Chicago Bears, Indiana Pacers, Cincinnati Reds and Indianapolis Indians.
