At the Summit League Championships competed in the 50 free (21.64), 100 free (47.20) and 100 back (56.21)...swam to a second-place finish in the 100 free (46.55) and a fifth-place in the 50 free (21.33) during the Jackrabbit Invitational...posted a pair of seventh-place efforts in the 50 free and 100 free at the Kansas Tri-Duals...placed in the top 10 in 11 events … made the Summit League honor roll.

Prep
While competing for the Mitchell Aquatic Club, Paulson was a seven-time finalist at the South Dakota Swimming Short Course Championships as a senior. He posted a third-place finish in the 200 IM, a pair of fourth-place finishes (50 free, 100 back) and three fifth-place efforts (100 free, 200 free, 500 free) along with a seventh in the 100 breast.
