In his first season at South Dakota, Hooper saw action in all 14 games on the defensive line rotation … made his first appearance as a Yote in the season-opener against Northern State (Aug. 29) … recorded 18 tackles on the season with 1.5 being for loss … had 0.5 sacks, one quarterback hurry, and one pass break-up.
 
2023 | Sophomore (UConn)
Played in all 12 games … had 14 tackles including one tackle-for-loss … had one pass breakup and two quarterback hurries.

2022 | Redshirt Freshman (UConn)
Played in all 13 games … registered 13 tackles including three in his collegiate debut against Utah State in the season opener (Aug. 27) … credited with one pass breakup.

2020-21 | Covid Year + Freshman [2021 fall season] (UConn)
2020 season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic (2020) … did not see game action as a redshirt freshman in 2021.

High School
Played for head coach Kevin Wright at IMG Academy (Florida) … totaled 32 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks in 12 career games … helped lead team to No. 8 national ranking and claimed the top spot in the state of Florida.

Studied political science at UConn, earning his bachelor’s degree there … currently is working on a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from USD.
