First Coyote in five seasons in the Valley to be named MVFC Newcomer of the Year … became the third USD quarterback since 2009 to be named an all-conference quarterback (Noah Shepard & Dante Warren) … was one of two Coyotes on the MVFC all-newcomer team … accounted for 31 of USD’s 41 touchdowns during the season … finished fourth in the nation in points responsible for per game (18.6) … finished as the Valley’s fourth-leading rusher and sixth-leading passer in terms of yards per game … completed 164 of 273 passes for 1,947 yards and 22 touchdowns against nine interceptions … also ran 161 times for a team-high 823 yards and nine scores … three times was named MVFC Newcomer of the Week and was named Offensive Player of the Week after accounting for six touchdowns in the Coyotes’ 52-49 double-overtime win against Weber State in the home opener (9/10) … led USD from 21 points down in completing the greatest fourth-quarter comeback in MVFC history … threw two fourth-quarter touchdowns including a 26-yard strike to Shamar Jackson that tied the game with 27 seconds left … added a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jackson in overtime … became the first Coyote player since 2010 to pass for four touchdowns in a game, and the first Coyote since 2009 to account for six touchdowns in a game … passed for 117 yards and a score and ran for 131 yards and two scores in his Coyote debut in the season opener at New Mexico (9/1) … capped the first two drives of the season with touchdown runs of 55 and 42 yards to stake USD to a 14-7 lead … twice passed for four touchdowns in a game … had five 100-yard rushing efforts … completed 28 of 39 passes for a season-high 378 yards and two touchdowns against 15th-ranked Western Illinois (10/29), becoming the Coyotes’ first 300-yard passer since 2013 … also ran for 102 yards and a score against the Leathernecks … passed for two scores in all six Valley games he played in from start to finish … finished 23rd in the nation for pass efficiency (140.0) and 30th for completion percentage (60.1 percent) … threw the 22nd-most touchdowns nationally … ranked 35th nationally in rushing yards per game (82.2) and was 52nd in passing yards per game (194.7) … was 15th nationally for total offense per game (276.9) ...
