Season was reduced to four games in the spring due to COVID-19 ... played in all four games … had a sack in the season-opening win at No. 7 Illinois State (2-27) … had another tackle in week two at No. 4 North Dakota (3/4) … was not charged a year of eligibility due to NCAA rules related to the pandemic ... 2019
Competed in 11 of 12 games during the season … earned two of his 10 tackles on special teams … had a strip sack that was scooped up by Mike Johnson and returned 31 yards for a Coyote touchdown in the game against Southern Illinois (10/26) … got his second sack of the season in the second half of the team’s 24-21 win against fifth-ranked SDSU on Senior Day (11/23) … also recovered a fumble in the fourth quarter against the Jacks with less than seven minutes to go that helped preserve the three-point lead … coincidentally, earned his first collegiate start against SDSU … had a season-high three tackles the prior week against top-ranked NDSU (11/16) ... MVFC Honor Roll member

2018
Competed in the first 10 games of the season before missing the season finale at SDSU … first collegiate tackle was a strip sack at Youngstown State that the Coyotes recovered and scored a touchdown on the very next play (10/20) … had three tackles including a sack two weeks later at Indiana State (11/3)

Richardson led the state of Minnesota with 25 sacks and 36 tackles-for-loss his senior season when he was named Defensive Player of the Year ... also earned all-conference, all-district and all-state honors ... forced six fumbles and had three defensive touchdowns ... is a member of the National Honor Society
