Chris Gordon joined the Coyote coaching staff in 2021 following a year at Illinois Wesleyan University and a season with the Minnesota Gophers in 2019. Gordon works mainly with the Coyotes' specialists.
Gordon played football collegiately at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. He was a defensive back and four-year letterwinner for the Crusaders. He earned an Iron Man award there for never missing a workout.
While attending Capital, Gordon served as an intern with a strength and conditioning program in Lima, Ohio, and was also a football coach at Ann Arbor High School in Michigan during the summer of 2017.
Gordon graduated from Capital in the spring of 2019 with a degree in communications and a minor in coaching. He was a defensive quality control intern with the Gophers where he broke down film, created depth charts and prepared scout cards among other things. After Minnesota, Gordon worked mainly with cornerbacks for Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington. He also aided in recruiting and monitored the strength and conditioning program all while helping the Titans to a 3-1 record in the spring of 2021.
