Cupich, a native of Omaha, Neb., begins his first season as a graduate assistant (tight ends) after starting three years at fullback for the Coyotes. In 2004, he rushed seven times for 21 yards and a TD, while lead blocking the way for the USD ground game that averaged 269.1 yards per game. He earned Academic All-NCC honors last season. Cupich holds a degree from USD in mathematics.
