Dash Buntjer

Dash Buntjer joined the Coyotes' strength and conditioning staff in December of 2021. He works primarily with the Coyotes' men's basketball, volleyball and football teams.

Buntjer graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2013 and recently completed his master’s in education at Southern Illinois. He interned at UCLA, worked with USD head strength and conditioning coach Clete McLeod as a GA at Southern Illinois from 2014-16 and has assisted with Toshiba Brave Lupus Rugby (2016-17) and the United States Air Force (2017-18) since that time. He most recently served as the head strength & conditioning coach at Sonoma State in California.

Buntjer earned an associates degree at Scottsdale Community College before moving to Simon Fraser University where he earned his bachelor's degree. He also has a master's degree from Southern Illinois. Buntjer played football and was a member of the rugby's 7 team at Simon Fraser. He also worked in the strength and conditioning office at SFU under Derek Hansen where he worked with football, basketball and several Olympic sports.

Buntjer did an internship with UCLA and was a graduate assistant at Southern Illinois before teaming with Toshiba Brave Lupus Rugby as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2016. After earning his master's there, he worked for the United States Air Force. He worked for Academy of Art in San Francisco before getting back to the collegiate level at Sonomo State where he served as head strength and conditioning coach during the 2019-20 year.

Has a Doberman named Max, who is his world.
