Ethan Erdman joined the Coyotes athletic communications team as an Assistant Director for Communications, beginning his duties in August 2024. He will serve as the primary contact for USD men's basketball, softball, and volleyball programs.
"We're excited to have Ethan join the external team, he brings unique experiences and ideas to the table," said Associate Athletic Director for Fan Engagement Jarren Duffy. "Ethan's stops throughout his career make him an immediate asset in our communications department."
Erdman was the primary communications contact for the 2024 Summit League Tournament Champions in South Dakota volleyball with the team advancing to the program's fifth NCAA tournament appearance. He oversaw the social media content, communications aspects, and website management of the championship-winning volleyball team.

He comes to USD from fellow Summit League member the University of North Dakota where he served as the Director of Communications and Web Services for the Fighting Hawks since November 2023. While at UND, Erdman was the primary contact for women's basketball and women's soccer, while also spearheading the athletic department's director of web services.

Prior to his time in Grand Forks, Erdman served as the Assistant AD for Communications at his alma mater, Briar Cliff University, in Sioux City, Iowa. He served as the primary contact for all 15 sports at Briar Cliff. The 2022-23 academic year saw Erdman named the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) SID of the Year.

He earned a pair of bachelor's degrees at Briar Cliff in business administration and sports management in 2019. In 2022, he earned his master's degree in management with a sports concentration.
