Competed in six events at the Summit League Championships, earning All-Summit League twice, as a member of a title-winning 400 medley relay and a third-place 800 free relay...also at the league championships placed fifth in the 200 free (1:39.46) and eighth in the 100 free (45.38) while swimming in the prelims of the 50 free (20.81) along with the 400 free relay...swam season bests in the 50 free (20.81) and 200 free (1:39.37) at the league championships...season best in the 100 free (45.17) came at the St. Thomas Invite...earned his first collegiate individual race victory with a win in the 100 free at the Huskie Invite...on the Coyote Top Ten charts moved into fifth all time in the 200 free and ninth all time in the 100 free...placed in the top ten in 17 events.

Prep
Mayer capped his senior season by winning a pair of state titles in Wisconsin Division 1 while competing for D.C. Everest High School. He won the 50 free in 20.34 and the 100 free in 44.29 while helping The Trees to a third-place finish in the 200 free relay and a fourth in the 200 medley relay. He made the state meet podium in the 200 free his first three years with finishes of fifth, sixth and fourth, respectively. Made the podium twice in the 100 free with finishes of third as a junior and fifth as a sophomore. Helped The Trees finished second in the 200 free relay and sixth in the 400 free relay in the 2023 state meet on way to earning Northeast Wisconsin Swimmer of the Year honors. Recorded four top eight finishes at the 2023 Wisconsin Short Course State Championships.
