Placed second in the 200 back in a season best of 2:11.24 while adding a fifth in the 100 back during the Jackrabbit Invitational...finished sixth in the 200 back and eighth in the 100 back in a dual with Minnesota State...season bests in the 200 free (2:00.79) and 100 back (59.79) came at the Augustana Invitational...placed in the top 10 in eight events.

Prep
Swimming for Sartell-St Stephen High School, Hedlund was an eight-time state placer in Class A. As a senior she swam on the 200 medley relay that was third and 400 free relay that was fourth while individually finishing ninth in the 100 back. She posted a pair of 11th-place finishes as a junior in the 200 free and 100 back.
