Madeline Dolny

Madeline Dolny joined the Coyote volleyball coaching staff before the start of the 2017-18 season.
 
In her first season with USD, the Coyotes compiled a 17-11 overall record went 10-4 in Summit League action. The Coyotes advanced to the Summit League tournament where they finished third. In the 2017 season, South Dakota had three all-Summit League honorees one of which of includes Brittany Jessen who earned the title of USD all-time assists leader. Jessen ended her career with 4,826 assists, fourth most in Summit League history.

In her second season with USD, the Coyotes complied a 21-10 record and went 13-3 in Summit League action. South Dakota knocked off regular season champion Denver to win its first-ever Summit League Tournament title and a berth into the NCAA Tournament. The Coyotes had three All-Summit League honorees in Hayley Dotseth, the Summit League Player of the Year, Taylor Wilson, the Summit League Tournament MVP and Anne Rasmussen, the Summit League Defensive Player of the Year.  

Before USD, Dolny spent the 2016 season as the head volleyball coach at Mountain Crest High School in Hyrum, Utah. In addition, she has coached Mountain West volleyball club in Logan, Utah, Front Range volleyball club in Denver, Colorado, and has worked volleyball camps at the University of Colorado and the University of Arizona. Before her time coaching, Dolny played collegiately at North Idaho College from 2008-10.
 
Dolny graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Family Life Studies from Utah State University and an associate’s degree in general studies from North Idaho College.
 
Madeline and her husband, Talin Louder, reside in Vermillion.
