Started 20 of the 28 matches before becoming injured … hammered down 135 kills and accumulated 38 blocks … tallied a career-high 13 kills, .480 hitting percentage and seven total blocks against Western Illinois (Sep. 22) … sits third in USD history for career hitting percentage with .313 and her .321 season hitting percentage places her ninth in school history … helped the team place third in the Summit League in hitting percentage with .205.

2016
Helped the Coyotes win their first-ever Summit League regular season championship … USD won 25 matches, the most since joining the Division I level in 2009, and 13 Summit League matches, the most since joining the Summit … the Coyotes finished the season ranked second in the nation with 18.44 digs per set … started nine matches and played in 46 sets … tallied 34 kills, 36 total blocks, 12 digs and two assists … had a season-high seven kills against North Dakota State (Nov. 19) … had 6.0 total blocks vs. Omaha (Oct. 28) and 5.0 total blocks at Fort Wayne (Nov. 5) … made the Summit League honor roll.

UMKC
During her sophomore season in 2015, Kerns started 23 of the 26 matches for the Kangaroos ... She was third on the team with 21 service aces ... she added 127 kills, 68 digs and 56 blocks ... tallied five kills, hitting .357, with five digs, three blocks, two aces and an assist at Southeast Missouri State on 8/29.

The all-time leader in kills (1,423) at Maple-Valley Anthon-Oto High School ... led the Rams to three Western Valley Conference Championships ...  was named first-team all-state as a senior, second-team all-state as a junior and first-team all-WVC three times.
