WALKER, Minn. -- Ty Munneke, a member of the University of South Dakota men's golf team, won the 2-Man Championship this past weekend at the Tianna Country Club in Walker, Minn.
Munneke (Champlin, Minn.), who just completed his freshman season at USD, teamed with Tyler Champ to win the event at seven-under-par, besting a field of 40 teams. The pair shot rounds of 33, 32 and 36 at the tournament. The 18-hole course measures at more than 6,300 yards.
Munneke will be a sophomore on the USD men's golf team in 2010-11.
