Aug. 17, 2012

VERMILLION, S.D. - - South Dakota head golf coach Nick Hovden has announced that Anthony Dadamo of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, will join the Coyote men's golf program this fall. Dadamo is transferring to USD from Kansas University, where he spent his sophomore season.

"Anthony will be a great addition for us," Hovden said. "He's an extremely talented player, whose experience at the collegiate level and strong work ethic will help push the team as he redshirts this season. We're very excited to have Anthony join the university and golf program."

Dadamo played his freshman season at Alabama State. He competed in every tournament as a freshman, earning a third-place at the Conference Preview tournament.

During his high school career at Holy Names High School, he was a four-year team captain and a two-time conference champion. He was the regional championship during his freshman year and qualified for regionals after finishing third at the conference tournament as a senior. He had a conference scoring average of 73.25 in high school.
