South Dakota bounced back in the second set as the Coyotes jumped out to a 9-6 lead, Dotseth had three kills during the run. The Mavericks would close the gap later in the match. The Coyotes led 17-16 and went on a 4-1 run with two kills from Dotseth and one apiece from Jessen and junior Lindsey Brown. Again the Mavericks would step up and tie the game at 24.
